Data center migration automation
Outcome: 6,000+ virtual servers migrated on standard headcount, on automation instead of overtime.
The problem
Moving more than 6,000 virtual servers between data centers would normally mean a surge of manual effort or extra hires, with every hand-touched move adding risk and slipping the schedule.
What I did
- Built automation to orchestrate the migration end to end across the virtual fleet.
- Maintained golden images, VMware templates, and CI/CD pipelines for Ansible AWX Windows workloads to keep migrated systems consistent.
- Standardized validation so each migrated server was checked automatically instead of by hand.
